This play is amazing. Such a suspenseful story. Couldn’t put it down

The book arrived in excellent condition and very promptly. I have not finished the book as yet. This is my third attempt to read this book.Though I like mysteries, this is not the type I usually read and I find it difficult to deal with the type of crime being committed. It is excellently written and I intend to persevere this time.

I purchased the paperback- a quick read in under an hour but suspenseful all the way. I don't want to give away the plot but it had my heart pounding, better than any Stephen King novel. Will definitely buy the longer version.

Font is pretty small and there are typos. The story is good! It got here quickly enough, though I think these should be less expensive for what you get.

My initial idea was to get the novel of the same title by Gardner himself. So, yes, it was a mistake.... But a mistake I really enjoyed in the end!

The anatomical mistakes in this book really drive me bonkers. Come on, if you're going to cite a muscle by its proper name, at least get it right! The author seriously needed a reality check by a real doctor and a real cop on many aspects of the plot. I was also irritated by the otherwise brilliant doctor who followed terrible home defense advice given to her by a (dead) man, and then suddenly mimicked the other female characters by making utterly atrocious decisions. That said, I must admit I was hooked by the prose. It wasn't gramatically correct: Instead, it was a convincing, emotional stream of thought. Toyer is well worth reading if you can get past the glaring mistakes. I rated it as a 3 because I am notoriously geeky in that regard. Not-so-picky readers will like it more.
