ZEPHYR CUSTOM POLISHING PRODUCTS SFPR58-4 Airway Buff Safety Flange Kit

Originally bought metal safety flanges because they were a few dollars cheaper. They didn't work. Should've just bought these instead. They work perfectly! Comes with a washer to put on the arbor that provides additional support to the flange which is nice.

If your using airway buffing wheels on a grinder or polishing buffer you need to use these for your safety. I would recommend these and would buy them again myself. They come with everything you need for easy installation.

It lasted one day and broke. I bought metal ones and so far it's been working good.

The extension was built great. The only problem was the threads are not long enough to put a nut on the wheel. Not the fault of the extension maker this falls on the zephyr kit. The safety rings fit right over the shaft but the wheel set up is to thick. But if you look at the safety couplers they require there are two one has threads in the top cover and the other come with a nut kit, mine had no threads and no nut so I had to make my own extension and made longer threads.

One of those not certain you needed it product. But, I sure glad I purchsed it. It was very handy to have. And gld I purchased it. It gets the buffer away from you. To give more leverage and a different way to hold when you are using for long period of time. In my opinion a must to have.

Recommend to anyone that polishes so buffing pads won’t be to close to fingers.

It is what it is, spaces the buffing wheel away from the buffer. Realistically it’s a bit overpriced for what you get, but there’s not much available.If this is your first polishing setup, make sure you get a buffing wheel rake to clean your wheels. It’s another piece that costs substantially more than it’s worth but is pretty important.

I expected this to feel a little heavier/denser but it works great and gets the job done. Good quality and decent price. My new Makita grinder is finally set up for my airway buffs and it works great!

Best backing plate out there. Works well with renegade buffing wheels and fits dewalt buffer machine.
