KUHN RIKON Duromatic INOX Valve Housing

This version of the housing has metal clips instead of plastic which broke on my original part. Makes for more confidence in removing and cleaning.

The only thing not to like is the price and the fact that Kuhn Rikon designed their pot so that the plastic piece breaks so that you have to buy a whole new metal replacement part. The part itself is perfect and fits and functions well.

I broke one of the clasps on my original while cleaning it. I've used my pressure cooker with the broken part for some time. Since I had to order a new gasket, I checked and was pleased to find I could replace the valve housing. Happy to have a fully functioning, like new, pressure cooker again!

The detailed attachments to the pressure cooker were pictured and very clear as to what I was to order. I again have a working pressure cooker which I use often!

Do not waste your money. Bought this replacement several months age and ii broke into pieces with in several weeks. It is purely decorative and has no positive effect on the functioning of an otherwise sound pressure cooker. Kuhn Rikon should be ashamed of this low quality part on such an expemsive appliance.

Purchased 3 pressure cookers (which included this part) in Feb., 2016. By August 2016, two of these valve housings broke (the black plastic rings holding the valve attachment broke, rendering them useless). One I was able to superglue back, the other I had to reorder this part. I expect more from Kuhn Rikon who's products are usually superior. If the plastic bit can't handle the heat, they shouldn't be sold for the kitchen! We are always conscientious when cooking with and washing these and are disappointed in this part.

Wonderful that this is a replaceable item, as mine broke soon after the pot was new. Though it's too pricy for something so easily breakable.

I thought I was going to need a new pressure cooker, but replacing this piece was all I needed to do.

Mucha gente estaba reportando lo mismo: cómo una marca tan buena y con una olla tan cara, se incluyen piezas de plástico. En mi caso, la pieza se ha roto (ver fotos) tras 4 años de uso esporádico. Me he llevado una grata sorpresa al ver que ahora la pieza de enganche es de acero 😃

Finalmente si sono decisi a costruirla tutta in acciaio inox, anche la parte inferiore con le 3 lingue di guida in plastica che si rompevano con estrema facilità .

Prompt delivery. The old housing had plastic clips to hold it. The replacement has metal. I use my 5L Hotel Pressure cooker daily and have done for years. I consider the new housing that I received a minor upgrade to my cooker. I am very pleased and it is worth the 5 str rating
