Genie Series II Garage Door Opener Wall Console - Sure-Lock/Vacation Lock for Extra Security - Light Control Button - Compatible with All Genie Series II Garage Door Openers - Model GBWCSL2-BX

My Genie garage door opener came with the house when I bought it, and at 15+ years of age the inside control panel/console was becoming problematic in operation. It was starting to require some jiggling and force to operate. I took the panel off the wall and dismounted the PCB control board, revealing the surface-mount toggle buttons on the PCB had basically worn down to the point of being mashed inside the component as well as severe wear on the external operator buttons' post (which interacts with the surface-mount button). The original component is no longer available, this Part Number was the replacement for the Series II control panel so I ordered it. Installation is incredibly easy, as the control wire is just two posts and very thin gauge. The mounting screw holes aligned exactly with the original so putting it back on the wall was no problem. The modernized unit is better form/function overall, with a very large press button for the opening action that is well-lit and operates with minimal touch force. The large button area is great, as the original panel had opener buttons that were little larger than a fingertip. Now I can just tap at it without having to precision-aim my finger while simultaneously juggling groceries. I am much happier now with the opening and closing of my garage door. However, it's still just some injection-molded plastic with a small two-square-inch (approx.) PCB board mounting the very basic logic components and LEDs for lighting. It's a touch expensive for such a simple and relatively primitive piece of electronic equipment - it's about $3 worth of materials at most. I guess as it's a proprietary opener they can charge what they want. Overall, great product, happy with the new modernized design.

Easy to install and program. I purchased two because we have two separate split garages. My only complaint is that there is no lock/vacation button like the wired unit. However it does have a delay button if you need to exit the garage on foot before it closes. Satisfied with the purchase.

Cambié un Genie Serie II antiguo (20 años) por este nuevo dispositivo tb Serie II. Tan solo tuve que quitar el antiguo y conectar los cables al nuevo y funcionó perfectamente. Totalmente recomendable.

Excelente producto, ademas de verse estéticamente bien. Configurarlo fue tan fácil como configurar un control remoto de la cochera. Asi salido de la caja, solo instale las baterías y programe el control. Fijarlo a mi pared fue sencillo y en 20 minutos ya estaba usando los dos controles remotos. Algo que es muy inusual pero bastante útil es el botón de temporizador de cierre, que al presionarlo, puedes hacer que tu cochera se cierre 10, 20 o 30 segundos después de haber presionado. Eso es muy útil cuando vas a salir caminando de tu cochera. Realmente una función deseada. Tiene un Led Azul que parpadea cada 3 segundos, y puedes configurarlo para que lo haga cada 2 o que no lo haga. Yo lo deje en 3 segundos, simplemente se ve bien, pero eso reduce la durabilidad de las baterías. No es necesario dejar el led parpadeando, pero es útil para ubicar rápidamente los controles. Yo le puse una etiqueta con flechas indicando cual cochera abre cada control remoto, asi aparece en mis fotos. En general muy satisfecho con los controles y ademas, elimine el cable que conectaba mis dos viejos controles de cochera, ahora mi pared se ve mas limpia y moderna.
