Men's Merino Wool Aran 1/2 Zipper Sweater

This is my first time purchasing a wool sweater (well, a non-blend one). I got it just in time for winter here in the USA (during the time of Covid-19, no less), so I am admittedly biased towards the product. It has saved quite a bit of cash for me, that would otherwise be spent on Kerosene.On to the product itself, it arrived a day earlier than expected, and in great condition. I am 5'8, and fairly thin, but I have broad shoulders, and picked up the large size. It hangs a bit, but I tend to prefer a bit of bagginess in my sweater, so this is not a negative for me (though it may be for you). For me, the sweater goes to about 3/4-pocket length on trousers. Medium might be the perfect fit for my size, but I wouldn't have anything to grow into. When in doubt, layering the sweater with other clothes suits me just fine. I tend to run a thinner long-sleeve shirt with it.The weave is somewhat loose, though as this is my first of such sweaters, I do not know if that is standard or not. I don't mind the loose weave myself, but I would be weary of getting caught and snagged on small things (splinters, hooks) if you get this sweater. Just be mindful is all. The patterns of the weave look quite nice, and the sweater has gotten quite a few compliments in the time short time I've been wearing it. Sweater came with a small informational card, detailing the meaning behind various patterns, which I found to be cool. The sweater does have to be hand-washed (instructions are on the tag inside of the collar), though this was also not a problem for me.The collar itself is exceptionally good-looking, and one of the reasons why I bought this sweater. The only downside to it is that it can feel rather tight to the neck, but this seems to be if the collar itself "slides" back a bit (towards your spine). Move it forward towards your chest, and then all is well. I tend to walk around with the collar unzipped, but the zipped-up collar works pretty well as a windbreak, when I'm out and about. Not sure what the zipper itself is made of, but the construction is solid for now.On the advice of a relative, I also purchased a cedar box, in which to store this wool sweater. The cedar should keep it moth-free.To sum up, excellent sweater (from an admittedly biased owner), that serves well at colder temperatures (high 20s-mid 30s for me, Fahrenheit).PROS - CONS list below if you need a quicker readPROS:Shipped quickly, arrived in good conditionGood size, looks niceWarmCONS (Not major enough for me to slash stars):Potentially a trap for snagging/catching.Collar might be a problem if your neck runs on the large side (only in fully-zipped state).

Exactly what I was hoping for and at a very reasonable price. I love this sweater and get tons of compliment every time I wear it. I runs a little long but that gives it a look. True to size for me.
