A: Yes, these are fragile items. Wrapping each piece separately in bubble wrap goes a long way for protection. They must be handled gently or they could break in a weak spot. Same as a real human.

A: They are much smaller than the description says at Amazon, the largest piece is around 2 inches tall, mine are set up in my village already, they look great.
