Mostly I have used it for baking bread, once or twice I did use it on a stove top to make risotto. In all cases I warmed the pot slowly to avoid sudden thermal shock. Unfortunately it has cracked anyways. This is a crack completely through the wall of the pot, not just a crack in the glaze. I contacted Emile Henri via their main website, submitting warranty inquiry form. It has been over two weeks so far and I have received no response. At least I would expect an email saying my inquiry was received and is being processed. For such an expensive pot and reputable supplier this is unacceptable. I recommend you don't buy this item. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love , love my Emile Henry! *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on 22 March 2019* I use this pot most of the time, to cook my rice. I love how the lid prevents the water from spilling over onto my stove, when the rice comes to a full boil! It does take a little long to get to a full boil, but the food come out perfectly! Clean up is a breeze, and you can put it in the dishwasher.The only tricky part was preparing the pot at the beginning, for cooking. The instructions require you to bring whole milk to a boil in the pot and then let it sit. My milk burnt on the bottom. My advise on this step, keep an eye on it! The burnt stuff did come off fairly easy.My next thing I want to try is making bread in the pot.
