A: Yes it will.

**Q: I have an hrx 217 and can’t tell where to insert this in the fuel line can somebody explain for some reason i don’t see one in my mower at the moment**
A: You have to remove the 3 bolts that secure the flywheel, in order to lift the plastic (red) housing unit. The fuel tank is attached to the underside of the housing. No need to separate those. The filter is placed into the gas line (about an inch), and the remainder is inserted into the nipple on the bottom of the tank.
