I'm renting a house and bought this to match a tripod lamp in the living room. I used a coffee table to assemble, which helped. Put a ballgame on and took my time, and everything assembled as described. The pieces/parts and instructions make assembly look more difficult than it is. The result is attractive and more sturdy/straight than the more expensive mate on the other side of the couch. I'd buy again.

UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: The seller immediately responded to my email, and offered a replacement shade graciously and politely. I just received it and it works perfectly. I still think the price is a bit high for what you get, but updating the rating to 5 stars due to the customer service and general appeal of the lamp. ****** The look and style of this lamp was exactly what I was looking for (height, dark wood, tripod, etc.). Since you have to assemble the legs (three pieces for each leg) and the shade, I think it’s a bit overpriced but was willing to try. However, the shade itself had three broken clips when it arrived so it does not adhere to the metal frame as it should. I contacted the seller asking for a replacement shade and will see what they say. Since I really like the style of the lamp I’m willing to see if they’ll make it right. If not, the whole thing will get returned.

I usually don't write reviews but this lamp is great! So it came in this little box, and at first I thought the wrong thing came, it was a packaging marvel. It does take some time to put together, but looks great when done. The instructions were easy to follow. I have received multiple comments on it, everyone loves it. Would definitely buy again.

So the lamp looks as advertised and does really look nice. However, be prepared, this thing showed up in a shoebox size package. Fairly easy assembly but you do have to put the three legs together, easy enough rivet screws they give you the tool included. You have to make sure your lining all the sections straight and tighten evenly. You also have to assemble the lamp shade, simple but makes me wonder how long it’ll last. Whole thing took me about 45 minutes. Nice lamp a little bit more assembly than I expected.

I was very pleased with this lamp. It came completely disassembled, the box appears smaller than the lampshade! But if you take a moment it all comes together quite quickly, even the shade. The hardest part was setting the braces for the lampshade fully into their connectors. They are snug, which they should be, so don't get frustrated. Once it's assembled the joins on the legs are smooth and almost unnoticeable. I like this much better than the brass-look sleeve seen on other inexpensive versions. Best I've seen at this price point!

Bought this beautiful tripod lamp 4 years ago, as you can see it still on great condition! Bright enough but also gives a cozy ambience to my living room. The legs are real wood and the shade is cover with a good quality linen material. Very good purchase!

This tripod floor lamp is really nice. It makes a beautiful accent to our primary bedroom.

Love this lamp! Hubby is the usual one to put our stuff together but this lamp was so easy to put together, I did it all by myself in 30 minutes. For a second, I thought it was going to look odd because the shade comes folded in a small box so I had very little faith in it. However, I kept going and once it was completely built, it looked beautiful. Exactly what I was looking for and it's perfect for the price. I saw one similar at Ikea but it had an odd shape, then I saw another one at Target that cost $30-$40 extra, so this one is just perfect.

This lamp is fantastic, it looks beautiful in the corner of my living room. Would suit both contemporary and traditional decor. Good quality and easy to assemble. Doesn't give off tons of light as the shade is covered with a rough burlap, but it is perfect for a little ambiance in a room. Well priced. Highly recommend.
