Q: Is there a plain white towel available?

I'm sorry but currently, there is only a grey stripe and blue stripe option.

Q: Are these grey or more beige?

In my book, beige is like a tan---when I take these towels out in the daylight they look more of a grey--green---like a light khaki. Hope that helps a bit!

Q: Is this 3 packs of 4? Total of 12?

You can choose either a 3 pack or 4 pack. They come in packages of 3 or 4 towels depending on what option you choose.

Q: Where is the hanging loop located? Middle of length side? (preferably-hangs higher/dries faster) Or in corner? From photo, looks like corner.

The hanging loop is at the very top of towel at the corner on the towels I have. But don't forget that sometimes manufacturers change designs and it could be changed or located to different spot on some of their other towels.
