Da mein Gaming-Laptop mittlerweile etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist und unter Volllast relativ heiß wird, war ich auf der Suche nach einem Kühler. Hierbei bin ich auf den KLIM Wind Laptop Kühler aufmerksam geworden, da dieser mit den 4 großen Lüftern eine vernünftige Kühlung verspricht. Ich blieb jedoch erstmal skeptisch, ob das auch bei meinem in die Jahre gekommen Gaming-Utensil funktioniert, zumal mir der Hersteller KLIM noch völlig unbekannt war, was im Nachhinein einleuchtend ist, dazu aber später mehr. Nach erfolgter Bestellung verging dank Prime-Versand nicht viel Zeit, bis das Gerät dann auch pünktlich am nächsten Tag bei mir eintraf. Das Gerät wurde separat in einem eigenen Karton und in Luftpolsterfolie verpackt um eventuellen Beschädigungen vorzubeugen. Zum Lieferumfang gehörte noch eine mehrsprachige Bedienungsanleitung (kurz gehalten, was soll man zu einem Kühler auch viel schreiben?) und ein paar Aufkleber mit dem Logo des Herstellers. Der Kühler selbst ist in einem einwandfreien Zustand und besticht durch eine gute Optik. Positiv aufgefallen ist mir das Metallgitter über den Lüftern, hier wird man bei anderen Herstellern auch gerne mal mit Plastik abgespeist. Außerdem verfügt der Lüfter über vier aufklappbare Füße, zwei als Standfüße an der Unterseite (Rückseite) und zwei aufklappbare Füße an der Oberseite im vorderen Bereich. Weiterhin sind an der Rückseite noch 2 USB Ein-/Ausgänge angebracht, sodass der durch das Gerät belegte USB-Slot am Laptop prompt ausgeglichen wird. Nun stand aber der erste Praxistest an. Aufgebaut ist der Lüfter ja schnell und ebenso schnell mit dem mitgelieferten USB-Kabel am Laptop angeschlossen. Der Hersteller verspricht eine Passgenauigkeit für alle Geräte bis 17.3" und mein 15.6" Zoll Laptop passt auch astrein darauf, nichts steht über, bravo! Im Anschluss nur noch an der Rückseite des Kühlers die gewünschte Drehzahl der Lüfter einstellen (Zur Einstellung der Drehzahl befinden sich an der Rückseite zwei Rädchen, welche jeweils 2 der Lüfter steuern und eine stufenlose Regulierung ermöglichen) und los geht's! Mit einem Surren erwachen die Lüfter zum Leben, das jedoch in keinster Weise auffällt, da es nicht lauter ist als die Betriebsgeräusche meines Laptops. Ob das nun auch bei neuen Laptops der Fall wäre kann ich nicht sagen, mir persönlich ist das positiv aufgefallen. Nun will man den Kühler aber ja auch im Härtetest prüfen, also GTA Online gestartet und die nächsten 3 Stunden im Dauertest für Laptop und Kühler verbracht. Und siehe da: Wo sonst an der linken Seite meines Laptops (hier befindet sich der werksseitig verbaute Lüfter) die Gefahr bestand sich leichte Verbrennungen zuzuziehen, (kleine Übertreibung, aber das Laptop wurde wirklich verflucht heiß) ist nun allenfalls noch ein laues Lüftchen bemerkbar! Meine anfängliche Skepsis war damit verflogen. Auch nach mehreren Tagen ist hier nichts negatives festzustellen, hier werde ich aber nach zu bestimmten Zeiten nachberichten. Am nächsten Tag erreichte mich noch eine E-Mail des Herstellers, in welchem der Firmengründen und Ingenieur sich und sein Unternehmen als junges Start-Up vorstellte. (das erklärt auch, warum ich den Hersteller noch nicht kannte) Ich wurde nach meiner Zufriedenheit befragt und bekam auch noch eine kurze humoristische Geschichte zu dem Lüfter erzählt. So kümmert man sich gut um seine Kunden und wirkt als Unternehmen auch noch sehr sympathisch! Fazit: Bei dem KLIM Wind Laptop Kühler handelt es sich um ein sehr gutes Produkt, was durch hohe Leistung, geringe Betriebslautstärke, gute Verarbeitung und hohe Passgenauigkeit besticht und das auch zu einem wirklich vernünftigen Preis (ich selbst habe dank der Amazon Gamescom Aktion noch ein paar Euro sparen können). Ich kann den Lüfter jedem empfehlen, der die werksseitige Belüftung seines Laptops, vor allem im Media- und Gamingbetrieb entlasten will.

The cooling pad helped reduce the running temperature of my laptop by about 3-4 degrees Celcius. The fans are not particularly strong since everything is powered by USB. But they work, and they are reasonably priced. The pad is also large enough to support my 17" laptop, which is great! I'm satisfied with the purchase.

First Impressions / Packaging So the packaging was great, it comes bubble wrapped with additional stickers, company contact information, quick start guide, USB cable and a shipping note that was hilarious (see attached photo). The shipping note is very over the top and aimed to make you laugh but if a manufacturer is willing to go to these lengths to make the experience pleasant you know they've put time and effort into the product. Product So I was after a stand alongside something that would keep my PC cool, this stood out to me with great reviews and red LED lighting that complimented my laptop nicely. The stand can either lay flat on your lap or at an angle - quite a large angle that better suits me for typing, at the bottom most corners of the product are 2 hinges that can extend to keep your laptop in place. I found these unnecessary as the product is very rigid and firm being made from metal, in case your laptop doesn't have much grip there a nice additional feature. Overall the build quality is great with metal venting between the fans and rigid plastic to hold everything in place. The fans are controllable via 2 little dials next to the USB ports (see attached photos), 1 dial controlling the bottom 2 fans and 1 controlling the top. As for the USB ports that are included, either can be used to attach straight to any USB input on your laptop with the other then acting as an additional USB for your laptop, essentially your not losing a valuable USB port by using this cooler. Noise is a difficult one as I don't really mind a bit of fan noise, there is an evident whirr from the fans once you plug the product in however I find myself forgetting its there after a minute or so. I would say they are quiet although I don't have much to reference too. One observation is that my laptop ran cooler overall before the internal fans had to kick in - my laptops internal fan being much louder than these fans overall. Temps Now the all important bit - temperatures. This is going to vary laptop to laptop depending on whether they have venting underneath to allow air inflow, mine has several passive vents that can utilise this stand although id imagine some laptops have even greater venting which would allow for better cooling overall. Putting your hand on the product you can feel a nice cool and even breeze, like a cushion of air beneath your laptop, I was actually quite impressed by how much air these could push! As each fan is a moving part this will have an effect on your battery life, as there controllable though i found having them on minimal setting still kept me cooler overall with minimal battery drain. My idle temps without the stand are 50C CPU and 41C GPU, with the stand these average at about 42C CPU and 34C GPU. I used 3dMark Benchmarking software alongside CPUID to get an accurate temperature before and after, I ran a DX12 test on loop for 1 hour with intention to stress both CPU and GPU, results can be seen in the pictures but for a quick summary - 1 hour 3DMark DX12 Stress Test CPU - 78 without stand, 71 with stand GPU - 77 without stand, 70 with stand So overall I've seen about a 7 degree drop on average after an hours stress testing. Small bursts or casual use and idling I tend to see a 10-12 degree drop on average. I've actually seen a slight increase in my 3DMark bench scores also due to the cooler GPU. I must also note that I under-volt my laptop and have recently changed thermal paste and refurbished the fan and cooling system so my results aren't going to be overwhelming, you might see a higher increase on an older less maintained laptop as fan systems become more inefficient over time as dust builds up. Still I never see either the CPU or GPU reach above 78C even after hours of gaming on such games as GTA V running at 1080p very high settings. My build for those curios is a Asus ZX553VD featuring - i5 7300HQ, Nvidia GTX 1050, 16 GB DDR4 Ram, Samsung 970 Pro 1TB M2 Drive + Standard 2.5mm 1TB HDD So under normal conditions this cooler/stand gives me a 10C drop in temps and looks great holding my laptop at a decent viewing/typing angle. Definitely worth a buy and would thoroughly recommend.

C'est le deuxième que j'achète. Aucun soucis avec le premier qui me sert à refroidir un portable Lenovo gamer 15" qui fonctionne avec un overclocking et qui a donc tendance à chauffer pendant les cessions de jeux. L'autre me sert pour un 17" Acer et qui avait tendance à ramasser la poussière et à chauffer. Lui ça fait deux ans qu'il fonctionne avec ça et je n'ai plus de soucis de chauffe. Le 15" se pose dessus sans problème. Le 17" dépasse d'environ un cm de chaque coté et 2.5 cm à l'arrière. Le câble USB fourni est suffisamment long pour être mis sur n'importe lequel des côtés des portables. Le port USB occupé sur votre ordi est du coup reporté à l'arrière du refroidisseur (USB 2). C'est là qu'on trouve également les deux molettes de réglages des paires de ventilateurs. Une molette par paire. Le seul souci que j'ai depuis l'achat du premier refroidisseur c'est les petits ergots montés sur pivot qui servent à maintenir le PC quand les pieds du refroidisseur sont mis. Ils sont en bas du refroidisseur et ont tendance à sortir du logement quand on tire un petit peu sur le PC. Rien que manipuler l'ensemble suffit à ce que la patte sorte de son logement. Après en utilisation normale ça reste en place. Le nouveau que j'ai acheté n'a pas l'air de souffrir de ce souci. Ah oui, les pieds sont antidérapants. Donc si vous posez le refroidisseur sur du verre par exemple et que vous poussez l'ensemble, les pieds risquent de se rabattre d'un coup. Sinon RAS. Ça ne fait pas beaucoup de bruit même à fond. Mon 15" gamer en fait bien plus en fonctionnement. Mais le refroidisseur fait bien son travail et du coup le PC fait bien moins de bruit. Pour le ranger c'est très facile. En dessous on trouve un logement pour y enrouler le câble USB. Une fois replié je peux ranger le refroidisseur dans la valise de rangement du PC. Aussi bien pour le 17 que pour le 15". Certes la valise est un peu plus épaisse mais ça passe. Sinon la marque Klim sait faire les choses en packaging. C'est vraiment du bon boulot. C'est bien emballé et dans la boite vous allez trouver une enveloppe noir avec un petit mot de l'entreprise. Je ne vais pas spoiler sur son contenu. Vous aurez également des autocollants dans cette enveloppe. Sympa.
