I have a only a one and a half inch clearance on the edge of the desk** A: I mounted on my desk with 2-1/4" edge/lip and it's sturdy when snug with two 7-lb 22" LED (Viewsonic VX2250wm) monitors. Not ideal, but ok for sure. I'd advise 2-1/2 inches minimum if mounting two heavier monitors as it will give more clamp surface area. **Q: How do I adjust the height of just one side? Had two different manufactures monitors and different plate placement as a result right monitor hung about 1.5 in shorter then the left. used this adapter and they are both level now. kudo's to VIVO for making it I looked everywere for one of these and it would seem they are the only one's who make an option like this. **Q: How do I fix the arms from sliding down the pole? Apparently, the quality is not as good as described in the product description and the Arm can't hold up my monitors. The two monitors continue to tilt downwards even if I make sure to adjust correctly with the Allen key.
