Sakkas Lady Mary Jacquard Corset Style Bodice Lightweight Handkerchief Hem Dress

I have many clothing pieces from Sakkas and have always loved the fit/color/fabric/details of those; and I was not disappointed when I received this newest style! The pro's: The fabric (I got the white dress) is really pretty: satin details & embroidery on white cotton. The fit is flattering and comfortable BUT: I would not say this an absolute one-size-fits-all. To me it seems its really for sizes 8-14. So if you are very small/petite, it will be too big, and if you are size 16, or very busty, it will be too small. I'm a 14 and it fits me perfectly. Another thing I like about this company is that you can expect Sakkas clothing to look exactly the way it does in their photos. The con's: Sakkas fabrics are prone to wrinkling and their more intense colors do bleed when you wash them (as I said, I have many of their clothing line pieces!). So some washing/cleaning recommendations for ALL Sakkas clothing items: hand wash COLD water and hang to dry, then gentle iron OVER a press cloth (to avoid shiny spots). One other tip, suggested in another review, is this one: Add a little Rit color fixative to the handwash of darker colors to make them more colorfast. Lastly Do NOT machine wash or these clothes will have a very short life! All-in-all, another very pretty & flattering style from Sakkas at a bargain price.

I absolutely love this dress! It's beautiful and well made. The back stretches so it's pretty comfortable. I'm 5 ft 3 and 1/2 inches tall so it comes down to my ankles. I'm unable to wear heels as a result of my health so I have to be careful when it comes to making sure long dresses aren't too long for me. I'm a size 16-18 and have a 43 inch bust so I got the plus size version. I love the handkerchief hem. It reminds me of my favorite singer Stevie Nicks' flowy styled dresses. If I were any heavier or any shorter the dress wouldn't have fit me. I don't have to pull the corset style tie in. I just tie it loosely so as not to accidentally tear it. This is my 2nd Sakkas dress. I hand wash this dress just like my other one which is very similar to it. I'm so glad I bought this dress. I hope it will last. 5 stars for now.

Beautiful dress, very fun. However, I am firmly in the 1x size range in most brands and this was *incredibly* snug in the bust for something that claims a 2x should fit in it's size chart

Unfortunately as others said, there's literally nowhere for any chest. I even ordered the bigger one hoping that would make a difference lol. Seems not for adults. Wouldn't even fit my chest if I had no breasts. Sewing was coming undone inside it too. Nice fabric and design. Ohwell.

This dress is even prettier in person in the picture. Exactly what I wanted. As far as looks go this would get 6 stars in my book. I just wish it would have been a little better made. I could tell, right out of the package that it was going to end up coming apart a little bit and unraveling. So disappointing! But I kept it anyways just because it is just so beautiful. So I wore it once and it was ok until I washed it...by hand, drip dry. The part I new was going to come apart did and there was some fraying. It wasn't terrible, so I went to the store and bought some liquid stitch and fray stop and did my best to fix it. It is basically fixed although I have not washed it again to see if there are any more problems. Hopefully not because I just love this dress so much. If they could step up the quality of these I would definitely pay even more and buy more in several colors. But as it is I feel it is over priced for what you are getting. As far as the fit goes, it fit great! I am 5'4" with and average size and an apple body type (unfortunately). It is adjustable so I feel it would work for many different sizes and body types, except maybe not so much for the super skinny. If I had it to do all over again? I admit I would probably buy this dress again and suffer through fixing it and hoping it lasts just because it is that cute and I have yet to see anything else like it out there.

This dress is very comfortable and the sea foam color is simply beautiful. When it was worn this past weekend it received lots of compliments. At first I was worried about the whole "one size" thing but it actually really does fit a variety of sizes. My daughter wore one, of the two dresses purchased (different colors) and wears a size 0 in juniors jeans. She simply tightened the laces on the corset top and the dress fit beautifully.I have no complaints about this dress at all.For those curious, I didn't see it mentioned in the description, the dress is supposed to be hand washed.If you found this review helpful please click "yes" below so that I know I'm not wasting my time by writing these reviews. This is a wonderful, comfortable, beautiful dress. I bought it for cosplay, but will be using it as a casual dress in normal life. The bodice adjusts easily to fit, but I ended up with a lot of fabric in the bodice and the jaquard pattern wasn't that visible. The skirt fabric is sheer on the outer layer, but wasn't see-through in the inner layer I wear a medium in normal clothes.

This is my 5th Sakkas dress and I am in love! It's really hard to find dresses that fit me right (I'm size 4 with a disproportionately small chest, saggy post-baby skin, and my butt sticks out full to the back), but these are all so flattering, it's amazing. Huge confidence booster. I also find that they wash well on a delicates cycle, so even better. I got this one in magenta and I love it! Great color, doesn't look cheap like it sorta does in the picture (I'm still trying to figure out how the tops always look saggy on these big-busted models). It's just such a good dress. Love it.
