Great Buy!
Super easy to use. I made applesauce with it and it worked great. The grinding was smooth, and cleanup was quick and simple afterward. Solid tool that does exactly what itโs supposed to do. Very happy with it.

Great food mill!
Oh, this food mill is a kitchen marvel! As a seasoned cook, I appreciate tools that make life easier. This stainless steel mill is sturdy and easy to clean. It's a real plus. When I was younger, I didn't mind tasting all of the textures of the soups I made. Now, I sometimes like a thick puree. I can make it anyway I want with this food mill. It makes the smoothest applesauce for children and the best tomato sauce for my Sunday dinners. The different grinding discs are a blessing; they are perfect for everything from mashed potatoes to jams. It takes the work out of making purees. And it's so much better than those old-fashioned hand-crank models I used to use. This food mill is a keeper, a true asset for any cook!

Makes Sauces More Authentic Tasting
I wasnโt sure if using a food mill would improve my tomato sauces because I thought using an immersion blender would be the same. Boy was I wrong! Whole tomatoes definitely have their place, but the rich authentic sauce I was going for was due entirely from using this food mill. I make weekly pizza and I simply place the food mill on my pot and throw the tomatoes in. Itโs super easy to assemble and clean. I removed one star because it isnโt easy to hang onto while youโre rotating the handle- the mill slides and moves around and I canโt get a good hold on it to brace it. Maybe if there were rubber stoppers on the feet to grip the pot? Iโm not sure. But itโs very sturdy and well made and Iโm glad it is dishwasher safe as well. I hang it from my pot holder when not in use.

Quality product
The Hungry Artisan Food Mill met and exceeded my expectations! Having a food mill in the past, l knew this was the product l needed to make applesauce. And in one afternoon, using the Mill, from 1 1/2 bushels of apples, l ( with help from my husband, made 19 quarts of delicious applesauce, without having to peel or mash the apples. The sturdy Hungry Artisan Food Mill, made of high quality stainless steel, was easy to use and clean. It comes with 3 sizes of stainless steel strainers that are easy to put in and out. Therefore with the mill, l can use it for a variety of meal prep tasks - many of which can be found in the free recipe book available from the company online. Thanks for a great product that l plan on using often.

Excellent food mill that makes canning a breeze! Thank you!
Used this mill for the first time today and it was AWESOME! Processed 25 lbs of tomatoes and got 9 quarts of beautiful, rich, seed-free juice in a flash -- all canned and ready for the pantry. The mill is well-crafted, sturdy and the handle turned smoothly with very little effort. My husband is a mechanical design engineer and he highly approved of the design and working of this tool. We both agreed that it's a wonderful addition to our kitchen and we'll enjoy using it for many years to come. Thank you so much for making this mill; it's an excellent item and worth the purchase price!

Stainless Steel Food Mill
I use this mostly to break down my tomatoes to make my Sunday sauce. Yes, sauce. Not gravy. Gravy belongs on mash potatoes and turkey. Cleans great and I find that my sauce comes out sweeter because before if I wasn't crushing the tomatoes with my hands, I would use the blender and with the blender you crush the seeds which makes the sauce bitter. Plus using the blender you get a lot of air into the sauce which you really don't need. I love this thing! I wish I ordered this decades ago. I have to stop procrastinating. Nice grip and the durability works well and holds a good amount of tomatoes. Very easy to assemble and you get three different disc for the grind that you want. It is manual so you choose your own speed.

Perfect for Homemade Jelly!
I used this food mill to make Concord grape jelly from my garden, and it worked beautifully! ๐ It separated the seeds and skins effortlessly, leaving smooth, rich pulp with no mess. The handle turns easily, itโs sturdy, and cleanup was a breeze. My jelly came out silky and delicious โ highly recommend for anyone who loves homemade canning!

Worked as it should. Will use again.
Great quality stainless steel. Easy instructions and it worked as advertised. I had roasted some tomatoes, onions and garlic and froze them last summer. I used the mill on the thawed veggies to make sauce and it worked really well, removing the seeds and skin. The sauce turned out great. I found it easy to clean also.

Works wonderful Great Machine
So, first thing to try was potato's, russet potato's, washed, cut in half (don't even think of peeling) into pot of water. Bring to boil, simmer until they are done to your liking. Drain, run it through the large mill, works perfect, and tastes sooo much better. No skin in the potato's (mill removes the skin), just season to your liking and enjoy. Next had a bunch of tomato's from my cousins garden, washed them, cut them in half, (de stem them) into a pot, stir, bring to boil, heat to low. Cook for about 1/2 hour, stir often. Drain tomatoes to another pot, keep the tomato water. Tomatoes into the mill, med disk, crank away, be sure to scrape the good stuff from the bottom of the mill. Your left with lots of tomato skin up top and goodness in the pot. Screen the tomato water to remove the seeds, add it to your milled tomato sauce. Add your spices to the mix, reduce over low heat. And you have the best base for a tomato sauce the can be used in so many dishes. Clean up is a breeze. Great piece of kitchen equipment, ( will make great Christmas Gifts this year).

This may have replaced my hand blender
This year we had lots of pears, apples and tomatoes in our yard, so wanted to try different canning recipes. I knew about the food mill but had never used one. So after reading lots of reviews and determining how much I was willing to spend, I bought this particular one. I found it to be a solid product, easy to use and so now I have been canning fruit butters and sauces.

Awesome product!
This works awesome for us and making tomatoe sauce. Easy to use, easy to clean and no complaints. We run our tomatoes twice. First with large screen (skin), second time with small disk(catches seeds).

Solid construction, and works very well
The negative reviews made me wonder if I should risk buying this food mill, but it worked perfectly, and I wonder if some of the negative reviewers were using it right. It fit perfectly on a 26-cm bowl and was easy to hold in place while cranking. Even my 7 and 10 year olds had no trouble with it. When you put it together, make sure that the plates with the holes are dome side up. When you are using it, remember to crank backwards now and then to scrape the mulch off the plates; try five cranks forward and two cranks back. I filled the reservoir with two liters of cooked, unpeeled, uncored apples with stems, and used the medium plate. Then I cranked away. All the apples went through, and there was not very much left over. Towards the end, applesauce got stuck to the sides. Reverse cranking got most of it down. At the very end, I had to push the remaining applesauce down with a spoon. After passing the apples through the middle plate, there were still some seed and core pieces in the applesauce. So I rinsed the device and put the applesauce through again, this time using the small-hole plate. This was pretty quick and got the rest of the pieces out. Cleaning the device is quick if you rinse it right away.
