As others from Amazon.com have said, this 'newer' version of the product is far less comfortable than the previous unit, which I've had for several years. The pictures are now misleading because instead of a plump, soft gel pad, you get a much flatter and more solid pad. It will probably just about suffice, but I'm still not sure of the comfort level when used for long periods. The overall weight of the product is much less the previous, which isn't a problem in itself, but is indicative of the extent to which the product has been significantly re-engineered, presumably to cut cost - unfortunately those savings have not been passed on to the customer as this is not a cheap product for what it is.

This is our 2nd Fellowes mouse pad with wrist rest and this one is exactly like our first one. Comfortable and helps take the strain of your wrist and hand when on the computer for long spells. I would recommend it.

These are the best mouse pads IMHO. I had a grey one that was 10 years old and still worked fine but didn't look very good any more so I replaced it with this one. Same quality and will probably last another 10 years.
