I absolutely love the JoeTisserie. It has been a total game changer for our Kamado Joe, and we use it all the time. From whole chickens to steaks, it consistently delivers excellent results. It’s an incredibly versatile tool and has quickly become one of our favorite accessories.

What is there to say, it’s Kamado Joe. Popped it out of the box and on my smoker. First trip out, the Christmas, three bone prime rib, which came out to perfection by the way! The only thing I needed to add for future smokes was a set of cordless meat thermometers.

I almost didn’t purchase this rotisserie because of some bad reviews that said it would not turn a heavier item. That’s all bull___t. I put 2 6 pound chickens on it and it never had a problem turning them. Not only that the motor makes no noise when it is turning 12 lbs of chicken. Standing next to it you have to literally look to see if it’s working because you can’t hear the motor. I love this rotisserie and wouldn’t change a thing about it. I waited to right a review until I had used it a dozen times without any problems. Makes great juicy chicken and pork. Again ignore the negative reviews, these people don’t know what they are talking about. This rotisserie is great buy with confidence.

Got mine today and will test it out tomorrow with a chicken on my Large Big Green Egg. Unit fits simply on the egg and looks like I'll have a great seal. I do like that the steel rotisserie rod is a solid piece and not two shorter rods that screw together as with some rotisseries. Motor is very quiet. I was surprised that the box showed this rotisserie was made in China when the listing stated the country of origin was the USA. I will update this review after my trial run tomorrow. 10/24/23- This unit worked great! Was going to buy a Big Green Egg rotisserie but those have been out of stock for some time. This unit fits my large BGE perfectly and was more than $100 less in price. Used FOGO charcoal, threw in some bourbon barrel smoking chips, put rub on the chicken and ran rotisserie until I had a 175 degree temp in the thighs. This unit worked perfectly and the chicken was delicious.

The JT was shipped in its original box; the main pieces are protected by styrofoam, and there was no damage to the pieces. Quality wise, the base ring and spit rod and forks look to be well built for the long haul; the motor works nicely, but seems to be a wee bit on the light side (especially given the price point). That is my main concern with the JT to date. The JT fits perfectly and works great on my KJ Classic II. No problems with set up or grilling. The spit rod and forks are easy to set up, the screws hold well, and the rod and forks are pretty easy to clean. If you need help, there are lots of how-to videos on You Tube; Smokin Dad BBQ is worth a look. My main gripe with the JT, as with most KJ accessories, is the price. The JT retails for $300; a basket kit (flat basket, tumbler, and rod) retails for $200. $500 for a rotisserie is HIGH;. I waited for a sale and bought the JT for about 25% off the retail price.

A lot of questions about whether this will fit different brands, and no one has given a defnitive answer, other than the supplier, who, justifiably doesn't want to refund purchases, so don't do that, please. I have CharGriller Kamado, and I can handle some simple tools. I couldn't find any details on the Joetisserie dimensions, here, or anywhere else for that matter. So, for any handy person that wants to try, these are the critical measurements, and how I made this work in my Acorn. It works great! I love it. Well made and simple. The outer diameter is 20.5", the ring that inserts into the Kamado is 18 11/16". I used five 8-32 stainless panhead bolts and nuts, with lock washers. After centering the rotisserie on my grill, and making sure the lid bad full contact, I measured the space between the bowl and the inside edge of the Joetisserie and cut the bolts to that length, minus a millimeter(heat expansion). Marked where to drill holes(clear of grill supports). Drilled appropriate holes, attached the bolts and bingo, repeatable secure installation for years of great grilling. My Acorn grill has an inside diameter of 20", so Would guess this should work for any similar sized grill with hinge pin in similar location(offset 1.5"). Do NOT buy this if you aren't going to keep it.

Great tool for BBQ lovers. Just pay attention if you live outside of the US. It comes with a US plug and you have to have an adapter to use it.

I bough this in conjunction of the the tumbler and flat accessories. This combination is a must have for any Kamado joe as it opens up a lot of additional cooking options. To be honest by itself I am not sure how much value this item is, but that would depend on what you want to cook.

Buy it if you have a joe or egg. Can't rate this highly enough. Love the fit, look and totally silent mains motor. Having said that my old battery rotisserie for a smaller bbq was so noisy you knew it was running. I want to paint the skewer with a white band so I can glance out and make sure it's still turning. Also a good plan is to lightly file a mark at the actual centre of the skewer in relation to the bbq so its not off centre. Brilliant piece of kit. Kebabs, 2 whole chickens, cut of beef or whatever you choose to cook will be devoured by all.
