Nuevamente recomendado.

Great low cost router with lots of capability.
Awesome little Router, quick setup is included by using Winbox or the web site. The quick settings are pretty easy. There are a lot of configuration options though, so if your familiar with networking concepts, you'll love all of the options for you. I like the improved "out of box" experience, you can plug it in, access the interface on the default gateway via the web site, and choose some quick options to get you started. If you blank it Winbox can usually find it and get you re-connected. If your new to networking, the quick settings will get you started pretty easily. Setup was super easy, and required a little reading and research to help with DNS and some other options that I wanted to customize from the quick setup. I like the default firewall configuration on here that it used, it seems well put together and though out from the default script. The box itself is light weight, but its well constructed. It's been holding up with the throughput specs that they provided, and its been rock solid. I configured CAPSman with an inexpensive MickroTik AP and it worked great. I'll be able to add another and manage them all from the router, easy. DNS caching is nice, and I'll enable some VLAN's on here once a better switch gets ordered. Winbox is easy to use and to connect to, and I also found the terminal commands pretty well easy to get used to and understand in short order. The Wiki they have on site is decent, but does lack some background info if your totally new to the concepts on some options. Either way you go it has great options and the level 5 license is a nice touch. The screen is cool, but it is not a great touch interface to use. It is usable but its not as responsive. Still, its nice to have and the Routerboard is super stable and its a great price. You can't really go wrong, and its a good entry level rack mountable appliance, and its pretty awesome with power draw. It was a good upgrade to my network, and using CAPSMan I have better coverage and faster internet though out the house. If you need more throughput then consider some of the higher end models. They have a bunch of different hardware configurations. I like MikroTik products in general, they have served me well and their support seems pretty good overall when you have an issue, but I haven't really had to use it all that much. I have not purchased one in quite a while so the little updates and features seemed pretty good from older hardware / software revisions of the past. One thing I would note is that you will probably want to go in and change the default login, the default password, and upgrade the firmware though System > Routerboard, and update the OS. I upgraded Router OS via the Packages section, the Auto Upgrade section didn't show any... I probably have something to configure there.... There was a little bit of a vulnerability that was recently patched, but the default config from the quick settings seems to have mitigated it from the WAN port. Having everything running with the same firmware shored up some intermittent connectivity issues though CAPSMan as well.

Worked PERFECT Out of the Box
I was a Netgear house, wired router. I bought this with reservations: all the reviews saying it was a steep learning curve. I laughed in surprise when I plugged it in.A couple of R2D2 beeps and it was working - far faster than Netgear's startup and boot diagnostics. Right out of the box, this baby plugged right in, booted, and provided a pre-set routing and firewall service for my home. I had come to trust Netgear: a good half hour of restarts, cycling power, wishing, dancing around the keyboard.MikroTik plugged in and dispensed with my standard Netgear song and dance by working instantly. The first Router Overview page that popped up on my computer screen was simple, detailed, and easy to understand. SIMPLE. EASY.Yes, there are a ton of things to fiddle with that the set offers. The menu of options was as long as my foot. I'll leave that to guys who need more than a solid router for home-use. There is a Wiki site for this unit that describes everything. For those needing to tweak for business, Save the Page for Offline use at the Wiki and you're good to go.Excellent price. Excellent value.

Awesome stable router
This is an excellent router. I bought this because I was tired of walking down to the garage to cycle the power of my old wireless router. It used to lock up and overheat. Not with this one, has been running solid for 2 years now. Very stable, no lost connections or freeze ups.I paired this with a couple of Unifi Access points and my wifi rocks. All my devices receive excellent wifi signal and stay connected until I'm out of my driveway. This worked out so well I bought a se CV ond one for my partner's house. He was always freezing on video chat. He replaced. 500 netgear wireless router and couldnt be happier. Not a single glitch. He is not tech savvy and managed to get it running, set a password And update the firmware without difficulty. He just keeps it behind the tv. I mounted mine in a slick network cabinet with all my other gear or patch panel, switches and cable modem, away from touchy hands.Every once in awhile we get an outage from Optimum. My wife always hassles me about unplugging the router because that's what the rep always says first when you call. That has not been necessary with this appliance. Comes right back up after an outage without reset. If you are a power user, prosumer, gamer or a geek like me this router will serve you well.
