Works great but only at 21 days. After using this switch to a coconut oil and rosemary oil blend. I use 1 drop of rosemary oil to 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and her nose just flaked away, I imagine it works on paws too. Try both on a 21 day cycle and see what happens because the flakes will return.

My 12-year-old German shepherd‘s nose was extremely dry and cracking. I applied this twice a day for a week and his nose is back to normal.

My vet asked me to order this product for my little Maltese who at 13 is experiencing a dry and flaky nose - keratonitis. This product works great to slough off the old skin but if used too often is too aggressive. It can actually cause irritation. So, I use this product just once or twice a week. In between I use an organic Coconut Oil. I melt the coconut oil on my palm and put just a little topically on my dog’s nose with my finger, gently . Then she gets to lick the remainder off my palm. We repeat this routine just before bedtime. Her nose is looking really good and does not cause her discomfort which is even more important. My vet says the organic coconut oil is good for her coat. Bliss loves it.

This is amazing stuff. My Maine Coon had a big keratin horn on a paw pad. It took a couple months, but this stuff dissolved it.

I bought this two weeks ago and I’m already amazed. My pup was getting hyperkeratosis on his paw pads. He’s a husky and really sensitive about his paws so I was looking for something that would work quickly. I’ve put this gel on the paw pads 6 times now (3xweek for 2 weeks as directed) and it has worked wonders. The excess keratin has come off in layers very nicely and I’m expecting it all to be gone in another 2 weeks. My pup has not licked off any of the product so that has contributed to the effectiveness of the product. I applied it at bedtime and he sleeps through the night in bed with me. People who had their dogs not respond to this mentioned the dogs licked it off so I wanted to make sure to mention that if they don’t, it really works. Maybe wrap the paws if your dog is a licker. I’m really happy at how this has worked for my pup.

Be very careful when thinking about ordering this product. My Frenchie has a moderate case of hyperkeratosis, or a dry, cracked nose. I’ve had issues with other products working to help overall, but have created damaged skin in the front of her nose. It almost looks like a perfect slice has been removed and an open wound created. I ordered this gel from a veterinarian recommendation and used it about 3/4 times total. The dryness when to a worse level than before, and created what looked like a contact burn on the previously healthy skin surrounding her nose. The gel itself is very watery/ runny and I was wondering how it was actually supposed to moisturize, I guess I got my answer to the detriment of my girl. Again, please think twice before ordering.

100% recommend if you have dogs. My white german shepherd suffers from dry nose, tried other products to no avail. was crusted right over. Took only a couple of days applying about every 6 hours. Seems this dissolves the dead hard crust, left his nose a pink color (from lack of pigment till it darkened). After all the hard crust went away, I started using a coconut moisturizer daily. I use this now after a few weeks for another treatment, but this stuff is simply amazing.

Quite costly for what you get but it is working to reduce the really rough spots on our dog's paws.
