Tropical Sun Sardines in Sunflower Oil 125g, Pack of 12

I don’t like sardines but am now having to eat some for their health properties. So I’m eating them after many many years The first tin I opened was absolutely full of fish and the smell was ok. A nice surprise. I mashed them up with lemon juice , Dijon mustard and a bit of mayonnaise which removed the unpleasant aftertaste that sardines have. My cat is delighted to get the drained juice and oil. There wasn’t a lot of it so I think these are very good value.

Great taste, I actually prefer it to sardines sold in major UK supermarkets, the texture is softer, and they are juicier

I've been everywhere for sardines and so I have to come on here to get some my dog it is dinner straight away soon the sardines went on he loves it mixed in with his food it tastes nice I must do because he wouldn't eat otherwise the value for money sitting running around the shops anymore probably pre-order again

Packaging: The packaging of Tropical Sun Sardines is decent, although I noticed that the cans were slightly bent. This is not uncommon for canned sardines, as the metal containers can be easily bent during transportation or storage. However, the bending didn't affect the product inside. Smell: Unfortunately, the metal container had an unpleasant smell, which may have resulted from spilled oil in the batch I received. This suggests that there might have been some oil leakage during the manufacturing or distribution process, which could be an area for improvement. Taste: I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the sardines in sunflower oil. The sunflower oil doesn't have a strong flavor, allowing the natural taste of the sardines to shine through. While I am a fan of olive oil, I appreciated that the sunflower oil didn't overpower the sardines with the spiciness often found in extra virgin olive oil. Nutrition: Tropical Sun Sardines are a great source of protein, making them an excellent addition to a healthy diet. As long as you don't have a fish allergy, these sardines can help enhance your protein intake. Moreover, the sunflower oil provides extra fat, making these sardines suitable for those following paleo or keto diets. Overall, my experience with Tropical Sun Sardines in Sunflower Oil was a positive one. While there were some issues with the packaging and smell, the taste and nutritional benefits more than made up for it. As a newcomer to African (Moroccan) sunflower oil-based sardines, I am excited to continue exploring this new realm of flavors.
