My dogs didn’t exactly vote on it, but they got bathed anyway. I picked this up mainly because I wanted something gentle. Dogs and human skin are not the same thing, and I’ve learned the hard way that using random products “because it smells nice” is not a great strategy for pet care. So I wanted something that was made specifically with their skin in mind, especially since one of mine gets a little itchy from time to time. First thing I noticed is that it’s very mild. It doesn’t have that strong, artificial fragrance hit that a lot of pet shampoos go for. It’s more subtle and clean, which I actually prefer because I don’t want my dogs smelling like a perfume counter. I already trust Burt’s Bees for my own life (mainly my perpetually chapped lips, let’s be honest), so when I saw they made a dog shampoo, I had one of those “well obviously I have to try it” moments.
