Can the divider be removed?

Yes, the divider can be removed on the ones that I have. I have given several as gifts and everyone loves them. They keep bread fresh for much longer than any other method that I have tried.

Mine is marked “Product of Vietnam”.

you may want to put a dehumidifier in your home or at least your kitchen/pantry. That would allow you to control the moisture in all of your food stores not just bread.
