how long does the brush last?

That certainly depends on how and how frequently you use it. i use mine weekly to scrub down the shower and tub enclosure, and it is so well made and durable, I anticipate leaving it as part of my legacy when I depart this vale of tears. in short, it is very well made and durable.

Will the iron pole of this brush contact with water rust?

No, I specially bought this brush to clean in the bathroom. It often comes into contact with water, but there is no sign of rust.

Can you use this brush to clean the outside deck with soapy water?

I think you can have a try, It works perfect on tile, especially the scrape bar design!

Since i don't bend like i used to, i need something to get behind the toilet. would this be good for that purpose?

If it’s a small space behind the toilet like mine it is hard. What I did was put a cloth on the floor and push it around with the brush. A little extra work but worth it.
