I am looking for a hinge with the mounting holes closer to the center of the cup, like the first picture. Are there options for this?

I don't know. The other hinge we tried was about 1/16th inch wider.

I bought this to replace a broken DTS hinge, and it worked great!

Just received the hinge, how do I open it to install it? I have tried and it doesn't budge.

Took me a while as well to figure out how to open (did not receive any instructions with the item)... The key was pushing the release button for the inner plate and prying that off (takes a little effort). Once that is removed it becomes easier to extend the hinge.

how do I know if I need 135 degree or a 165 degree hinge for a lazy susan cabinet door. H2 is printed on the existing hinge?

The 135 degree hinge is for putting the two door panels together. The 165 degree hinge is for attaching door to cupboard.
