I think the press would still work well if you had thick rubber bands to wrap around the outside on each end if their bands do break **Q: Why after only 10 used & never being put in the dishwasher did the handle press break off making it completely useless?** A: I would reach out to them directly- I’ve used mine a ton more than that and mine goes through the dishwasher and I’ve had no issues at all with degredation of the product.
