I bought the natural violet to color my greys. I've used Overtone and gotten so, so results so I thought I'd try something natural like henna. I opened the package and the powder was a charcoal color. Checked inner package and it said Violet so I googled to see what color the powder should be and found no info so I took a chance anyway. I waited 30 minutes and washed it out. 1st let me say the smell is off putting. 2nd I had a slight burning on the areas where I applied more. 3rd it did nothing. Not even a charcoal color deposit. 4th the parts were I applied more is dry and frizzy. Moral of the story cheaper is not better. I'll go back to Overtone products.

First time buying this product and I loved it. It was super easy to use on my locs, which are waist length. Not much staining on fingers or sink or shower, the dark splashes washed out easily with soap and water. Smell wasn't as strong for me, and it washed off pretty easily. I used a regular shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels great. I think my hair is actually stronger, but will wait for a few weeks to be sure. I only needed to do the roots and it was enough for my whole head. Got the dark brown packet but it turned my hair black, which is OK for me. Maybe it will lighten up? I've bought two more dark brown packets for next time. If they are still turning my hair black, I may try the light brown. My hair is naturally dark brown.
