Does the large can have a plastic liner or just the ring that holds the bag?

The ring holds the trash bag. I also want yo answer a question for the person that said the sensor stopped working. After a couple weeks mine stopped working but don’t throw it out yet! Because all that needs to be done is press the switch off for a little bit then turn it back on. It seems this has got to be done every few weeks and it starts up again. My daughter bought the same one and she to turned it off and back on. The manufacturer should have told people this. We love our trash cans and sure would have been a mess if we threw them out. We used Duracell in all our thing except our apple air tags as you have to use other name batteries for those due to the pins are defective. Strange birthday gift but my daughter got trash cans for her birthday gift as I couldn’t find a proper gift and her trash can looked so bad.

My lid is closing slowly and not opening up all the way. Have replaced the batteries problem still is there. Can I buy replacement lid?

I broke the hinge on the lid by accidentally hitting it while open. It still fits back together, but the lid often opens to the wrong place and it won't close at all or closes too soon. I just press the Open button to force it open, then lift the lid and set it at around a 90-degree angle (where it's supposed to be) then press the Close button. All set until someone bangs the lid again.

The size of the trashcans are 13gal (50 liter) & 2.1gal (8 liter).

How can the larger can use either C or D batteries?

The larger can takes 3 c batteries.
