But after several use? I prefer with vacuum motor it will be more helpful and NOT TIRING to use (my personal opinion and experience only). Review: works well with pebbles, scuds, mystery snails - I have large pebbles in my 55-gallon tank, and this vacuum works very well for them. I can push the tube down into the substrate and remove a lot of dirt, poop, and detritus that has accumulated underneath the pebbles. The suction power is just right for me—not too strong. I also noticed that my scuds were able to swim back into the substrate instead of getting sucked into the waste-water bucket. The mesh/filter on the intake also prevents my small mystery snails from being sucked up. Do you jus pour new water in?** A: I clean and service my 36 gal aquarium about once every two weeks. With the fish remaining in the tank, I clean the inside glass and then remove about half of the water, vacuum the gravel with the Laifoo pump and set the removed water aside. All accessories, plastic plants, stones and artifacts are removed and cleaned in the removed tank water. The power filter elements are then removed and rinsed in the removed tank water. Filters are replaced every 2nd tank cleaning. The tank is then refilled with RO water . Accessories and filter elements are replaced. Clarifier, bacterial supplements and stress coat supplements are added. Each of my power filters include a 7 watt UV lamp. The lamps are then activated for 4 hrs to help control algae and sterilize the water. All done for another two weeks. The Laifoo pump works quiet well and helps to simplify the process. **Q: I did not receive the clip or the siphon ball with my order?** A: Dear Customer, We had replied your email. I have another brand that sucks it and I’m looking for one that only gets the dirt** A: If you were looking for one that will vacuum/remove the sand/gravel, this is not it. Nor are any of the normal aquarium gravel cleaners on the market. They aren't designed to remove sand or gravel. They just sift through it and remove the detritus. Most of these gravel cleaners have a filter to stop big debris from going down the hose. All in all, the suction is not enough to remove the sand or gravel. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do well with picking up debris or waste at the bottom of the tank. The particles get stuck floating midway into the long nozzle and goes right back down once you pull away.
