Upon getting this kit, I was pleased at how well the lens were put together. They are heavy enough to hold merit in their manufacture. My telephoto lens was chipped, I was a little worried about how quickly ButterflyPhoto would replace it and if I would have to send the entire kit back. 100% wonderful customer service. I called, they shipped the replacement within 24 hours.I twisted the wide angle lens on, took a few pictures and noticed a slight difference at first. I had thought it would have more of a fisheye effect, then after researching the difference a little, I realized this lens is AMAZING for the price. It's not the best picture quality you can get in a wide angle lens conversion kit, because its a 0.45x. So the edges are a little fuzzy around the outside of the picture, but it does exactly what it is supposed to! Images were crystal clear.The telephoto lens worked great, I was able to see a good difference while using it. All the images were crystal clear and it does exactly as it's described.The lens hood. At first, I wondered why they sent such a large lens hood since I had a 58mm lens. Then, DUH!! It's meant to attach to the lens in the kit! At first, I would see it in my images. Kind of frustrating.. then I read the directions!!! You are meant to twist it on and position it on your lens where the white arrow is pointed directly at your flash and then tighten it with the ring that is on it. Tah-dah!! No more lens hood in my image.Over all.. you are getting exactly what you pay for. If you are a beginner and you don't really know the difference between a 0.20x and a 0.45x lens, I suggest dig around a little to understand the numbers a little more. Because for this price, you can not beat what you will get.I gave this a 5 star rating because the product is just as described, well manufactured and ButterflyPhoto has excellent customer service.

The 58mm Lens kit comes with a cleaning pen, cloth and lens hood as well as the .45x wide angle and2x telephoto.Eveything fit my Cannon EOS T3i and works great! Both lenses come with a lens cap and leather bag for holding them nice and safe!I bought this for the wide angle lens and that works great when you can't back up far enough from your subject. It isn't the super sophisticated kind of lenses I want but alas can't afford, so I thought I would get these and try them out.I was pleasantly surprised by the lenses, they were much more "weighty" than I expected and ended up producing some pretty good photos considering. All of the accessories were great. Only thing that didn't fit my camera was the lens hood but I wasn't really interested in it, just wanted the rest of the things in the package.The lenses can be tricky to attach and sometimes they make this horrible squeaky noise when you attach them haha but that can be overlooked.If you are looking for something to "try" out before committing to a more expensive bit of equipment, try this out!Package arrived on time and in great condition also!!

First of all, I will admit the lenses did not work as intended for ME, I was hoping to use the 2x lens on a Fuji 9400w which is a "bridge" camera, and a not a DSLR camera, so that is my fault. Butterfly Photo was willing to take them back at no charge, a real tribute to them and their customer service. But the wide angle works, and the lens pens works, and I can give the 2x to a friend, so I decided not to return the package. The Vivitar lenses are quality, but beyond that, I am very pleased how promptly, Butterfly Photo responded to all my inquiries, even offering to fully refund.

I like this for the money i paid. The fish eye and macro are a great add on to my 700D (T5i) they both work awesome, the fisheye works best without any zoom, and if it has vignetting. The telephoto i wasn't a big fan of, i only tried it once, and never used it again, i think it does not give you enough close up. The little string to hang your lens cap is great! and you can change it to any lens if its the same size.i'd say don't get too exited about the telephoto lens, but do get exited about the fish eye and the macro.

The lens are well made but thats about all. On my 18-55 mm lens, the 2.2x zoom allows a little more distance. Nowhere near 2x, but it was clear, and with the 75-300 mm lens I cannot make the picture clear on any distance. I played with the lens for almost two weeks. I was able to make it somewhat viewable, but 40 percent of the picture looks like it was taken underwater. It was all blurred. I have since put it away with all the other bad buys I have made.

This is the perfect kit for you if you have any of the cameras that it is compatible with. It is absolutely impossible to beat this price and I just got back from Argentina using only these things to shoot with and boy of boy were they a life saver. The lenses open up a lot of doors and options for you as a photographer and its as simple as just screwing them on! I would definitely recommend this to anyone trying to broaden the scope of their already owned lenses.

My husband and I purchased this for use on our our 55-300 lens. We had read many reviews on this lens before buying, and hadn't come across (or missed) information stating it wouldn't work with a lens with that much zoom. It was blurry, and images looked milky. I'm giving this a 2 star because this didn't work for what we intended. HOWEVER, a friend of mine has an 18-55 lens that this fits on, and she tried it out, and she likes it, saying it worked for her. So..if you are looking at this for a lens with high zoom, it's a waste of money. If it's for a lower zoom lens, then it works as it should. Pay attention to reviews that will be more in depth in regards to the black lines you will see, because they are accurate.
