Nice axles. Very fast, but pretty pricey!

I watched a lot of you tube and all of the hardcore Pinewood Derby wonks recommended this so I ordered because we did not have tools or time to do ourselves. He did not win but the car did pretty well so I would order again.

Pretty well done. A bit expensive for a couple of nails but worth the time savings in the end.

I used these last year for both of my kids' car's rear axles. I then used the 1.5 degree bent axle up front to create a proper rail rider. My son won first place and my daughter won third place. Only reason they weren't one and two was because of the way the brackets worked out (they had to compete against each other in the semis...) These were just one piece of careful builds on both cars...but I do believe the canted axles helped.

Every facet of what's important in this product (polish, angle, durability, etc.) was perfect. The only annoying part was the cut in the head for the screw driver, it's not very deep (granted, there's not much room) and it's rather wide. Finding a screw driver to work with this head was a chore and made fine-tuning difficult, but it still worked.Bonus: my kid took first place in a multi-pack competition of over 60 Cubs.

The parts apeared to be plated. Upon close examination I found one piece with a "bubble" on a critical surface where the plating didn't adhere. I scraped the defect, polished and used it anyway.

These were perfect! In the past I have bent and polished pinewood derby axles myself but was short on time this year. These arrived on time and were a great alternative to doing it myself. Incidentally, the car went undefeated and brought home the first place trophy.

Works great
