Re-ordered after seeing results
It is mainly root and a small growth that arrives in the 8 packets of three plant each. Planted it about a week back. They have started to grow. Happy with it. 70% of last years plants have done very well without too much care and are thriving this year and hence ordered them.

These plants turned out really great! They came with growth on them. And ,they're already growing more.

Great looking plants. Purchased 12 pack, but...
They were shipped and received in great shape! Roots were large and all had sprouted. Planted outside in the ground, and have fingers crossed. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because I only recieved 10 plants. However 1 was as large as a dinner plate and had 3 sprouts on it. So, that makes 12 right? Would buy again.

Fabulous Purchase
They arrived super fresh and ready to be planted. I put them into the ground without any special fuss and watered regularly. We had several freezes and heavy winds this winter and I feared they wouldn't make it. They've not only survived but have some back super large and healthy. I can't rave enough.

Half duds
Three of the six were duds. Didn’t come up. The ones that didn’t grow were barely root balls. I planted them in well drained healthy soil. Been a month or so. I’m in Pacific NW. Crown side up near the surface. I’m not an expert gardener but I’m certainly not anmat either. Been toiling in garden/landscaping for 30 years.

Great healthy hostas
Arrived in good condition and packaged well. After about 2 weeks, 20 of the 24 plants have grown and look healthy. I have hope the other 4 plants will emerge and grow. I would buy again.

Low variety
The roots are in excellent condition and everything lived. HOWEVER, don't expect a big variety, I guess. I ordered 12 plants and there are only 2 varieties. Really disappointed in that, especially since it was 4 bags with 3 roots in each. Also, I don't know what shovel the ad is talking about as there was no shovel in my pack. Again, good condition but I would not order again due to low variety. Who wants 6 of the same thing.... TWICE?!
