I have had problems with aftermarket batteries for the UPS these batteries go in (a SmartUPS 700) with lug size and short life so this time I went out of my way to make sure I got actual APC batteries. These batteries arrived double-boxed and the box inside was obviously made to ship this exact battery. The battery set arrived with an expected 2 inch long connector that is standard and connects the two contacts nearest each other. The picture shown in the ad shows long leads connected to these same battery posts and that really should be updated to not confuse other people buying this battery. Your UPS should already have two long leads that connect to the remaining positive and negative posts on the battery set. Buy this set with confidence for the APC SmartUPS 700 and other APC UPS's that require the RBC5 pack.

Wir nutzen die Batterie / den Akku im Dauereinsatz in der APC-USV für unseren Fileserver. Der Austausch ist denkbar einfach - auch für nicht IT'ler wie mich. Auf der Hersteller-Seite der USV den passenden Batterie-Typ checken. Bei Amazon bestellen. Der Einbau dauert beim ersten Mal vielleicht 10 Minuten danach maximal 5. Wir haben nun schon den 3. Akku in der ersten USV. Nach ca. 4 Jahren beginnt die USV unaufhörlich zu hupen und moniert den Ladezustand des Akkus. Dann muss eben ein neuer her. 4 Jahre im Dauereinsatz sind aber auch völlig o.k. für den Preis. Also: nich einfach die USV wegwerfen beim ersten Gepiepe (kostet bis zu 1.000 EUR), sondern neuen Akku rein und wieder 4 Jahre Ruhe haben! Klar Kaufempfehlung!
