Easy Installation and Excellent Crawlspace Door
I purchased my house a year ago and needed a new crawlspace door as my old one had gaps around it. It was difficult to take on and off. I did not like the price of this product so I kept looking at other options, I finally decided to pay the money and I am so happy I did. This product was easy to install and takes off or goes on in seconds. Highly Recommend.

Easy to Install. Looks good. Effective cover.
The frame plastic is brittle and will crack if struck with force. I found out the hard way. I attempted to use a 1/8" steel pin and lightweight hammer to create a starter hole for the first fastener screw in the upper center portion of the frame plastic. After that error, I placed the frame exactly where I wanted it to be attached to the brick wall. Then I used a 1/4 masonry drill bit to easily penetrate the frame plastic and the cement seams. I hand-screwed six fastener screws. The frame seated tightly against the wall with no gaps. I then attached the crawl space cover. The final product looks good and is a huge improvement over the steel cover installed by the builder. Pricey, but a highly recommended product, because it will never rot and rust.

Not lockable but here is a fix
Quality is good but there was no way provided to lock or prevent a casual person gaining access. I fitted to short 1/2" thick pieces of wood into profile of the frame. Glued and screwed. See pictures. Door was then screwed to the frame in two places using security screws as was the frame.

Won't rot
We needed to replace our old wooden crawl space door that had rotted away, and this door was the perfect solution. It was easy to install and came at a reasonable price. It looks sturdy and has held up well so far.

Great product!
Used this to replace my old wooden door and frame, I may re-frame it in the future. I thought mounting holes not being pre-drilled would be an issue; however, this allowed for easier customization of installation. I used an expanding foam after mounting to seal around the edges - make certain the door is on (and not contacting foam) while it sets (careful not to get foam on the two screws that are used to hold the door on). (My house is older and has settled unevenly - the door was set level, don't be fooled by the inside wood frame, I'll clean up the excess foam later).

Not durable or as pictured
Corner cracked while getting ready to install. There are no pins to lock door on as pictured. Instead itโs relying on plastic tension latches. So as soon as it heats up from sun and a good breeze comes along Iโm sure this thing is going across the yard. I bought another one of these a few months back but it had the pins but it was too big so I returned it. Save your money and have a metal door built. Once and done. Iโm tired of online garbage peddlers.

Crawl Space door
At first we weren't sure but to think of it. But the guy that installed it said it's made out of PVC we could install it on inside of the door. So we installed it on the outside. We used cedar 1 in by 4 in because it was a bit large so that worked out really good and then we also used a concrete adhesive so it would look nicer on the bricks. Looks pretty good I'm not yet crawled through the crawl space. I don't think I ever will. But it looks better than the old wood one that we had there A picture will have to come later..
