I have used different brands of ALA. This time, I ordered Doctor’s Best because some AI platforms had recommended it for its quality. However, I found it quite ineffective. Perhaps they are using the synthetic form of ALA, which may not be absorbed as effectively. Interestingly, some cheaper brands containing R-ALA seem to work much better for me.
