No more “Houdini acts” from our dog Boomer since installing this system. Setup- The instructions are clear and thorough. I was able to set the system up within two days, covering over an acre of land. The hardest part of the setup was twisting the wires back to the house for a neutral line, but once using a power drill, it went quickly. I did buy extra wire and flags. We have a tight space around part of our home, but also a wide open space that stops at the tree line/ natural yard and the A setting works perfectly. I buried all the wire close to the house but waited for falling leaves to cover the most of spots near the tree/ brush line. Training- I took 2 days to train but I continued the training up for 3 more days just to be sure our dog understood his space. He was definitely timid for a couple of weeks and cautiously explored his new parameters before he was able to 100% enjoy his free time/ roaming. We played with him in the larger spaces to make sure he understood he wouldn’t get a beep or shock for fetching a ball within the flagged area.
