## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the maximum RMS ( not peak) power rating for this woofer?**
A: This item allows 160 watts RMS, 330 watts max.

**Q: Has anyone installed this to replace the mark levinson subwoofer in a lexus ls430?**
A: I'm getting ready to install this in my ls430.

**Q: can someone recommend Tweeters to go with these?**
A: This speaker actually goes below human hearing with the bass. As for a tweeter suggest picking A high power capable piezo (do not require a crossover) with a start frequency of 1.8KHz going out beyond the upper limits of human hearing. The piezo is a very cheap technology and can provide excellent results. Parts Express should have what you are looking for. Stay away from expensive tweeters as you get nothing more if the right piezo is chosen.

**Q: Can this be used as a home theater subwoofer replacement?**
A: Absolutely, that's what I used it for. It replaced the woofer in my powered home theater subwoofer enclosure.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect.....
*by S***1 on 22 November 2024*

While cleaning out my attic. I found a old set of mid 90's 3-way optimus speakers. The drivers were shot and they didn't have any crossover at all. So I gutted them cleaned up the cabinets reinsulated added 3-way crossovers replaced the tweeters ,midrange and got these 8 inch woofers. Everything fit perfect . The hardest part was replacing the grill fabric. It cost me about $200 for everything and now I have my Frankenstein speakers that sound just as good as my klipsch tower speakers at a quarter of the price. Great tight bass from a sealed speaker box coupled with a 10 inch subwoofer and I have all the bass I'll need.
