I haven't been able to return to the gym, because of my back issue. But I'm not sure if I would even wear it working out. I liked the wrap. I love sleeping with it on. Like the extra length. It overlaps about 8" (yes there are two 8" dimensions). Have other support belts. They are too short. Not much over lap. So when I slack the tension the velcro catches. This is on my other belts. NOT this one. It has enough overlap so velcro sticks to the belt not me. Finally, I have not worn this next to my skin. I wear T-shirts under it. And I have NOT worn it long enough to see a trimmer waist. It is for lower back support. PS: I'm a senior citizen.
