A week in the desert relaxing for 6-8 hours a day in the pool and this was the perfect addition to my after sun routine. I sunscreen heavily and repeatedly but still hydrate my skin with a thin layer of this aloe vera followed by a moisturizer. I never felt dry or scaly. The aloe absorbs nicely without feeling sticky. No scent. Have been using this ever since vacation after every sun worshiper session at our pool.

Great for sunburn

Firstly, I am a real purist, organic gal... so I was cautious in trying this aloe vera gel since I had spent a LOT of time just trying to find a 100% pure aloe vera gel (that absolutely didn't have ANY extra chemicals &/or preservatives in it at all... sadly most do)... and I must say after now trying the product for a few weeks, it appears this is the real deal with no additives at all. I have had good results using it on my skin and hair (it really helps diminish facial wrinkles when applying just a thin layer under your moisturizer). Just to be sure though, I wrote to the company as well (see their response below) to double check & also ask IF they had plans to offer it "organic certified" as that gives consumers like me more peace of mind too... and they assured me that it really is just 100% pure aloe vera gel. They told me that it does NOT even contain any Phenoxyethanol (that I had grilled them on) and that I sadly had found out IS in a different formula I had tried previously from "Mary Tylor Naturals". "Hi Pam, I apologize for the late response. I understand your concern any toxic ingredients in alo vera gel like Phenoxyethanol. No we do not have any kind toxic ingredients in our aloe vera gel its natural and organic. Its chemicals free. Yes, we have some ingredients in conditioner but those are less than 1% we will reenginer the formula and try to take those out in our next batch. I also remember you asked for certified organic as this point we can not get certified organic because our contract manufacturer the get the raw material is organic but not certified we are working on that to get it." Hope this direct feedback from me (and the company Allurials) helps others who were trying to make a comfortable, informed decision like me :-)
