... light spots that were beginning to appear on my favorite pair of jeans
Used this dye to color in some light spots that were beginning to appear on my favorite pair of jeans. I mixed the dye into some water and salt in a tupperware until I reached a comparable shade to the jeans I was repairing, and dabbed the color onto the jeans using a dark towel. It worked perfectly to repair my jeans and, a few weeks later, the color is still vibrant. Note, use gloves when working with this product, because it will dye skin. This product helped me get some more wear out of my favorite pair of dark denim jeans.

mix with Black dye to make a awesome dark blue wash
I used the full packet in a bucket with boiling water. Added about 5 tablespoons or more of rit black dye as well. My denim shirts came out like original 501 Levis dark original wash. So far the dye holds well. This is my second packet of this dye. It will be a denim staple for me now.

Very blue, not the best for jeans
This stuff is definitely good at dying your clothes, but this color was too blue.We used one packet on a pair of faded jeans. The results were more of a blueberry color, rather than that nice dark denim blue that you see on the packet. Maybe the jeans were too light to start with, but I can't imagine them getting darker with this color of dye. Even the color dot they show on the back of this packet is a light blueberry-looking color.I might try using a black fabric dye instead, or maybe mix a black packet with a blue packet. Might get more desirable results.Oh, and use gloves because this stuff WILL dye your skin and fingernails.

Didn’t work
I used 2 packets in a small wash in the washing machine with warm water let it soak for over an hour before putting them through a cold wash. My jeans look exactly the same.
