Works great, never had an issue
I've had a USB 2 version of this for the last 10 years, and it still works just fine with an older iMac limited to USB 2. But, I needed a USB 3.0 version for newer machine. That, too, works great and is certainly a bit faster! If there were a USB-C version, I would have grabbed that. I've used all the formats this devices supports and have never had any issues. It's really convenient.
