A: No, this is a lubricant designed the help cutting blade spin easier with less friction.

A: Yes, I'm using on my Saeco Odea Go, works very good.

**Q: is vaseline a good replacement?**
A: You should not use vaseline around food products.  this product is specifically forumulated for lubricating food prep equipment and is non toxic

**Q: Is this product good for lubricating plastic drawer slides in refrigerators?**
A: It gets pretty viscous at low temperatures, there should be no issue with it making a mess, and it would lubricate well.  I'm not sure exactly how it would handle all the ambient smells from a fridge, it might be something that would need wiped off an reapplied occasionally.

I use this to lubricate the brew group in my Saeco Superautomatic, it works and feels the same as the small lubricate originally provided by philips. I didn't taste any difference in the espresso afterwards. This tube is huge and can last many years. I have also tried using it in odd places around the house, works especially well for gears and o rings.
