Does the Elite series actually perform better (wheels, extension grip, etc.) than the Magna series? The price difference at this time is significant..

I got the Platinum Elite for Christmas. One of my wheels was damaged during the second international trip. We contacted Travelpro about any warranty and were told that we would have to ship the suitcase to one of their approved repair centers to have it evaluated to determine if it would be covered under warranty. Its actually cheaper to buy a replacement wheel than to ship the luggage to them. This is the last piece that I would "buy" from them due their warranty process.

Will this bag fit as carryon in US? It’s listed as 23.5” x 14.5” which is above the 22”x14” limit.

I’ve measured the bag myself, and the only area of concern is that it’s 22.5” not the 22” max. It’s really up the the airliner agents to be honest, but I haven’t had a problem with AA.

On paper, this bag exceeds published international carry-on limits (air france, 21.7x13.8x9.9). has anyone gotten it aboard int’l flights?
