Bought a couple plants from a fund raising event for a local organization for the holidays. Must have had moth eggs because first one then another moth found its way to me in the late winter. Over a period of time I had killed too many not to be worried for my wool items. I tried cedar chips but then I realized they were in the house not getting into the house. These traps are super simple to setup taking five seconds and within one day I had caught more moths in one trap than I had managed to kill by hands in weeks. This will break the egg laying hatching cycle. Its warm enough now to put those plants outside but from what I read these traps are the perfect solution, and safe for pets and children. The coating is sticky, attracts moths without any detectable scent, and hang away from sight in an attractive carrier. Better appearance then moth balls or chips and no scent. No plastic made from recycled cardboard too. Can be hung any place making for versatile deployment. Great price as well.

Seems to be working well

This may be a bit premature but the immediate results were too good not to report. Last night, I found a clothing moth infestation in a WIP and my project bag. After quarantining all yarn, freezing some and baking others, and disinfecting all areas where I stash yarn, I ordered a set of these pheromone traps, which arrived this afternoon. Within a minute of setting out the traps in the areas I suspected to be hot spots, a moth instantly appeared and drifted towards the trap, getting sufficiently stuck. It was kind of unbelievable how quickly it worked. I wish I’d caught it on video. I have some parasitic wasps on order as well, so hopefully in combination, I can quickly nip this infestation in the bud. This is a tough lesson, but it teaches me to store my WIPs better and regularly inspect my stash. I will update this review to see how the traps perform over the next couple weeks.

I have been using it for a few weeks now and I have not caught a single moth.
