...with a small pinch of citric acid? It's delicious.
SweetLeaf Cola drops are a delicious alternative to sugary or artificially sweetened colas. It took some testing and reading other posts/reviews to find the perfect combination that made this drinkable and ultimately enjoyable for myself; that addition ended up being a pinch of citric acid -- literally, maybe 1/10 tsp per 8oz of carbonated water. The citric acid adds the slight "bite" that traditional sodas, like my old time favorite of Coca Cola, have. I now combo one full dropper full of the SweetLeaf cola with the 1/10tsp citric acid in a 8oz cup, with seltzer water from the neighborhood grocer, and happily drink it with just about anything. Prior to the citric acid, I couldn't quite bear the taste of this... it was missing something. I couldn't put a finger on it until seeing another review comment on the magical ingredient - alas! The taste is still quite different, and does have what all my friends refer to as the "stevia aftertaste", but to me, it's now quite enjoyable. For reference, citric acid is generally in a white, fine powder form. It was not carried by too many stores locally -- although Sprouts did have it in their "bulk spice" section such that I could give it a try, and I then ordered a 1 lb bag on Amazon (many, many options to choose from there, and a pound should last a lifetime if used just for these types of drinks, ha!). Also, apparently citric acid is used in all sorts of foods/drinks, bath toys, and even as a natural cleaner -- a cool find in itself! I've been going two months strong and am still quite happy with this concoction. All in all, a great alternative to the various colas on the market... particularly because Zevia is so expensive and standard soda brands are corn syrup-infused with other random ingredients. The one thing I'm missing in this setup is the caffeine... although I haven't noticed any effects, so I figure, it's for the better. The bottom line: if you've given the cola drops a try but didn't have citric acid at the time, it's probably worth a second shot. The citric acid is what made this enjoyable to me.

Great healthy alternative
I love this product. It's a great alternative to Diet Coke or cola. Obviously it does not taste the same but it is somewhat similar. I drink alof of this in soda water and I barely touch the Aspartame drinks anymore. My only gripe is that there is no version with a bit of caffeine in it like you'd normally get in Coke or diet coke. It's a bit pricey for the amount you are getting.

A great alternative
At first I thought this was a bit sickly with a strange after taste when diluted with sparkling water but I added a few squeezes of fresh lemon juice and a few drops of apple cider vinegar and it tastes fantastic (probably best to drink it through a straw). I really wanted to stop consuming so much aspartame and this is exactly what I was looking for.

Tasted like cough syrup
It tasted like buckley's cough syrup no matter what concentration I used. Absolutely foul and inedible.
