StressGuard is compatible with all medications except those that are copper based. StressGuard is not amine based and will not interfere with Purigen; or HyperSorb regeneration. Or do i have to use my prime water conditioner with this?** A: No,I would say it is not. You would have to use Prime to condition your water. You can always e-mail Seachem and ask. I use lots of their products. One of the best companies out there. They have answered everyone of my e-mails. **Q: Is this OK to use with freshwater snails?** A: I chuckled when I saw your question; I use this product every time I do a water change, and since last winter I have been battling snails that came in unbeknownst to me on some plants (75 gal freshwater tank, lightly planted with low light tolerant plants). And they are prolific!! Based on my experience, I would say it it doesn't harm snails HOWEVER, not being an aqua-malacologist, I don't know if different species of snails react differently to meds.
