On Amazon's website it lists the SPF's as oxybenzone, octisalate, & octinoxate - chemical SPF's that are dangerous.** A: If you look it up in the EWG (Environmental Working Group) database, this product has a rating of 2 (out of 10, with 1 being the safest). Generally speaking products with a 1-2 rating are considered very safe, but there are 1-rated products out there. For specific product information, here's the EWG listing: https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/product/592493/Andalou_Naturals_Daily_Defense_Facial_Lotion%2C_SPF_18/#.WXEprIQrK00 **Q: Would you recommend it for men?** A: Yes I would recommend Andalou for men. Most of them have dryer skin than women so they need all the help they can get. **Q: is this product tested on animals?** A: NO. It's Vegan and Animal cruelty FREE. Gluten Free, Certified Organic, and my favorite Non GMO. I hope that answer your questions. You're going to love it, trust me. I'm being using this products for years. **Q: I have normal skin. i bought the daily defense spf 18 and spf 30 serum, and didn't read that it's for dry/very dry skin. will it be fine for me?** A: I have used the SPF 18 Daily Defense for years, and I have normal skin; l think it’s perfect - not too heavy or greasy. I love it. I haven’t used the SPF 30 serum, so I can’t speak to that. ## Frequently Bought Together - Andalou Naturals Ultra Sheer Daily Defense Facial Lotion, SPF 18, 2.7 oz, with Resveratrol CoQ10 and Antioxidants, Lightweight, Hydrating Facial Moisturizer - Andalou Naturals Resveratrol Q10 Night Repair Cream, For Dry Skin, Fine Lines & Wrinkles, For Softer, Smoother, Younger Looking Skin, 1.7 Ounce - Andalou Naturals Probiotic Cleansing Milk, Apricot Facial Cleanser for Dry, Dehydrated Skin, Gentle Makeup Remover, Hydrating Anti Aging Face Wash, Cruelty Free, 6 Fl Oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/255863179-andalou-naturals-ultra-sheer-daily-defense-facial-lotion](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/255863179-andalou-naturals-ultra-sheer-daily-defense-facial-lotion) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
