There was a recent recall of this item due to heavy metal contamination. Any info on this?

As a reseller of this product, your question had me concerned, so I contacted the manufacturer. I don't know where you got your information from, but, according to the manufacturer, none of their products have been recalled for any reason. I have to admit, that I'm not surprised there was no recall on their products as they take the utmost in care when selecting the ingredients for their products. They take heavy metal amounts into consideration when selecting ingredients.

It says on the bottle that there is no need to refrigerate.

Is this product considered a multivitamin powder?  Is it organic?

All the ingredients are free of pesticides and irradiation, but not certified organic. It is definitely a multivitamin powder in that it contains many different vitamins from actual food sources. Unfortunately, the label only lists vitamins A (60% RDA) & C (20% RDA). I am not a strong supporter of taking a daily multivitamin for two reasons. 1) Many contain synthetics, which very little get used by our bodies and are therefor a waste of money. And 2) getting vitamins from actual food sources, even supplements, is better because they contain the rest of the nutrients, along with the vitamins, that are necessary for good absorption of the vitamins by the body. A once-a-day multivitamin sounds good in theory, but actually is not nearly as good for us as real food, whether that real food is in the form of a supplement or actual real food. This is a good example of real food as a supplement.
