I believe it is suitable for older skin, as it hydrates very well. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve needed something to hydrate well. It has a smooth gel-like texture and layers well for use with other moisturizers. It absorbs quickly and leaves no residue. It has never irritated my skin either, not harsh.
