Allegra K Women's Round Neck Contrast Color Knitted Shirts Long Sleeve Sweater Tops

This past fall, I wanted to buy some new clothes for myself since I hadn't bought anything new in awhile. I was searching on here for some shirts appropriate for fall weather here in Wisconsin when I came upon this shirt. The first thing that attracted me to it is the cute pattern and the next, the price. I figured I could wear it with some jeans and boots which I've started wearing together as well.This shirt has a zig-zag pattern in whichever color you choose. I purchased the black and white so it's a black and white chevron print and very cute. This shirt has a round neck, long sleeves, and ruched sides by the hips. Even though the picture made me think it looks like a sweater, it's a thin, soft shirt so you'll want to wear a cami underneath. This shirt is made in China of 95% polyester and 5% spandex. Washing instructions say to machine wash and line dry. I didn't want anything to happen to it so I put this shirt in a lingerie bag in the washing machine and laid it on a drying rack and that worked well.For size reference, I am 5'6", 165 pounds, with a 36D chest and I ordered a large, which is my typical size for most shirts. I'm still carrying around some extra weight around my belly after having my twins so I prefer shirts that aren't slim-fitting around the belly. This shirt fits me pretty well around the chest and stomach.I'll admit, the first time I wore this shirt, I wasn't thrilled with it. It didn't seem to fit right and I didn't like that the sides were ruched but the shirt still hung down too far. To me, the ruched sides looked strange and I didn't wear it for awhile. I recently decided to pull it out again and this shirt is growing on me! I still find it a bit strange that the sides don't look right but if I hike it up a bit, it looks better. I usually pair it with skinny jeans and boots and it looks cute. It's also long enough to wear with leggings.Overall, I'm happy I purchased this shirt and that I gave it another chance after letting it sit in my closet for awhile. It won't keep me warm in the bitter cold winter months but it looks cute and I just wear a heavy jacket on top! I feel the sizing is fairly accurate, particularly if you want a slightly looser fit like I do. If you prefer a slimmer fit, I'd order a size down from your normal size. It's easy to wash and I'd make sure you have a nude-colored cami to wear underneath. It looks great with jeans and boots and is good for many months of the year! For the price, this shirt is nice and I recommend it!

I give the shirt a three, because it is a cute shirt, and it's definitely wearable, but the pictures are criminally misleading. If you are looking for a shirt that fits loosely, and drapes like in the picture, keep looking.I bought this for my 19 y/o daughter who is about 5'3" and around 115 pounds. She doesn't care as much for the flowy, drapey look so I was hoping that buying in her standard size (U.S. small) would mean that it wouldn't be enormous on her. Well it isn't. She does really like it, and wears it to work on a regular basis, but the fact that it looks nothing like the picture makes me really irritated. I am giving it 3 stars, which is generous, only because she is happy with it, and looks great in it. But that might have more to do with having a 19 y/o body!I had thought of buying one for myself, too, but I won't be after seeing it. I'm about the same height and weight as my daughter. I'm 5'4" 120 lbs, but I have a bigger bust (she's a B cup and I'm a D cup), and I think even if I ordered a large or extra large, it wouldn't drape right. I think it would just make me look overweight or frumpy. (I'm the one in the pictures.)What bothers me the most is the fact that this shirt is cute enough to stand on its own, but the sellers choose to post pictures of a different, trendier-looking shirt in hopes of getting more people to buy it. But I'm starting to think that all Allegra K clothing items are a similar bait and switch. I've since buying this seen a few other reviews stating the same problem.

I am 5'2. I weigh about 135. ordered it in a large. I usually wear a large only due to my stomach. Due to a surgery, my stomach sticks out very far and is hypersensitive so I like loose fitting clothing. With a bra on, it fits well with my stomach slightly showing. (no way I would wear it without a bra-stomach would stick out too far)) I bought it hoping to hide my stomach and wanted it big and baggy. It is NOT big and baggy but not tight either. I was told by my teenage daughter and husband to keep it. It does look good but I really wanted it more slouchy as shown in the picture. I hope this helps with the fit. It is a thin sweater so if you are looking for a big bulky knit, this is not it. I do like it. It is just different than expected. Someone complained that the pattern doesn't match on the sides at the seam. This is true but my arms are down most of the time and what do you expect for such an inexpensive sweater. I have not washed it yet but plan to do so on delicate and dry flat. Would have given 5 stars but it is different than expected.

**UPDATE 4/12/16:So I received the large and it was just too blousy (my husband said it looked like a circus tent on me), and when I tried the medium on again it looked much better in comparison. I ended up keeping the medium size. My only complaint is that after having and wearing for two months, the sleeves are a bit short. Nothing extreme, but I prefer that my sleeves cover my wrists to the point that they are almost to the base of my thumbs, and these stop at the wrist (actually a bit above my wrist). I wear it with jeans and not leggings as it isn't long enough to comfortably (for my preference) cover up my behind, unlike my first impression. Otherwise it is very soft, comfortable, and flattering. I am keeping my original rating of 4 stars.Original Review 2/2/16:I am 5'8" 160 lbs and ordered the medium. The quality is nice; knit, soft, and the pattern is fun. Long enough to cover my behind so I would be comfortable wearing with leggings. It's a bit on the thin side so I will be wearing over a tank top. I found that while it fit okay, it wasn't blousy like the photo. It wasn't tight, but I prefer a looser fit so I am returning for the large.

It looks chunky knitted but it's very fine,almost see through.its tapered a little at the waist and give an illusion that I had hips.colour ran at a low temp and I tried to remove so now left with Greg and white.i can't see me getting much wear as it's so thin but I did reorder in a different colour

My all time favourite top it goes with most things so nice to wear not clingy but not overly baggy. Washes really well too

After reading other reviews I bought the large size (I am a size 12) and it fits just right to give the baggy look.if you want it to fit normally I would suggest you buy your normal size.Quality is good feels great am very pleased so have ordered another one in red

Love this top/jumper not thick enough ot be a jumper but just warm enough to not be a top, I have ordered from allegra k before and love there products only downside I ordered a extra small and recieved a small and it is very big but not really a problem as I just tuck it in and bag it out, definitely would reccomend ordering one size littler than what is required, overall great quality for money
