The "Budget Beast" (With Caveats)
1. The "Paralleled Roll Track" Technology The Claim: The line is spooled onto the plastic roll perfectly parallel (never crossing over itself), which prevents the line from "digging in" and creates less memory. The Reality: This feature is excellent for the initial spooling process. It comes off the spool incredibly smooth and makes filling your reel easy. However, once the line sits on your reel for a week, it develops memory (coils) just like any other nylon monofilament. It does not permanently eliminate line twists or coiling. 2. Strength & Durability Abrasion Resistance: This is one of the line's strong suits. It is thicker and tougher than some finesse lines, making it capable of dragging over rocks, stumps, and weeds without snapping instantly. Knot Strength: Knot strength is reliable, provided you wet your knots before cinching. It holds well with standard Palomar or Clinch knots. Consistency Issues: Unbiased user reports indicate occasional "bad batches." While 90% of spools are strong, some users report sections of line that are brittle or break under low tension, a quality control issue less common in more expensive domestic brands. 3. Handling & Casting Memory: Despite marketing claims of "low memory," this line is fairly stiff. On spinning reels (especially smaller sizes like 1000-2500), it tends to jump off the spool if you overfill it. It behaves much better on baitcasting reels. Diameter: It tends to run slightly thicker than its rated pound test compared to Japanese lines. This adds durability but can sacrifice casting distance and lure action for finesse techniques. Final Buying Recommendation Buy this if: You need to spool up several rods for the kids, need cheap "backing" for your braided line, or fish in heavy cover (weeds/rocks) where you change line frequently. Skip this if: You are using light tackle (4-8lb test) on a small spinning reel. The line memory will likely cause "wind knots" and tangles. For that application, a softer line is worth the extra money.

Black mamba 8lb test
For me I’m impressed. I put line conditioner on when I put this on my reel. It was very curly the first couple of cast, (I am guessing that was due to the line conditioner since that has happened with other brands to), but after that it has been great. I have only used it in small creeks so far, where you will usually get caught on more rocks, and sticks, and this has been great. UPDATE: After more use than I care to admit, this line is still holding up just fine. I would say that suffix sage is a little stronger in the same pound test, but this line works great. The black color is hard to see out of water and as far as I can tell, invisible in water

Poppin and Jiggin
Good line for poppin jigs off of the bottom of the lake. The black color doesn't reflect light when the sun is out strong. The line is strong for what it is rated but the diameter is slightly larger than some of the competition. This product lives up to KastKings reputation being the best value on the market.

Low memory, tough fishing line
I bought this line after hearing good things about it, after spooling it up and using it for the past month i found that it casts smooth and has minimal to no line memory, I will be buying this again and would recommend it to anyone looking for quality fishinline.

Good line
Love the Color and the line ... Great line with little memory to it. Almost disappears in the water.
