Review: Black mamba 8lb test - For me I’m impressed. I put line conditioner on when I put this on my reel. It was very curly the first couple of cast, (I am guessing that was due to the line conditioner since that has happened with other brands to), but after that it has been great. I have only used it in small creeks so far, where you will usually get caught on more rocks, and sticks, and this has been great. UPDATE: After more use than I care to admit, this line is still holding up just fine. I would say that suffix sage is a little stronger in the same pound test, but this line works great. The black color is hard to see out of water and as far as I can tell, invisible in water

Strength & Durability Abrasion Resistance: This is one of the line's strong suits. Knot Strength: Knot strength is reliable, provided you wet your knots before cinching. It holds well with standard Palomar or Clinch knots.
